Hello! My name is Hikari, and I'm from Japan.
I'm 26 years old and currently working as an English teacher at a public school.

I've used Workaway in the past and had some truly amazing experiences. I'm excited to continue this journey and connect with new people and cultures around the world.

I have a deep love for animals—especially horses. I've been passionate about them since I was a child, and I'm always looking to learn more. One of my favorite Workaway experiences was volunteering at a horseback riding ranch in Portugal. In my spare time, I also regularly volunteer at a horse ranch in Japan, where I help take care of the horses and assist customers on trail rides.　

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, going on drives with my family, and singing. I'm always eager to learn new things and happy to help wherever I can. I’d describe myself as relaxed, open-minded, and flexible.

So far, I’ve traveled to many countries, including:
• Austria, Czech Republic, France, England, the Netherlands, Thailand, Taiwan, and the Philippines for travel
• Portugal for volunteering at a horseback riding ranch
• Finland and Sweden through Workaway
• Denmark for studying
• The United States for volunteering at elementary schools
• Kenya for working in a wildlife conservancy

I genuinely enjoy learning about different ways of life and building connections with people from all backgrounds. I'm really looking forward to meeting you and sharing meaningful experiences together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m physically active and enjoy spending time outdoors, so I’m comfortable with physical work and long hours outside in different weather conditions.
I have experience working with horses—feeding, grooming, mucking out, saddling, and assisting customers on trail rides. I’ve also learned about natural horsemanship, and I’m very eager to deepen my skills.

And I’m used to living in shared environments.

I’d say my strengths are the experiences, being positive, and patience and responsibility. (especially from my experience as a school teacher)

and for fun, I love to sing and cook!
