Hello everyone, I'm Paola from Italy :)
I have a positive attitude and a bright and strong personality, but I'm also very goofy and love to play around.
I'm studying Journalism & Communication, hoping to become an editor, but I am curious and open towards other jobs in the field.
I love languages, and I studied them in high school. Through some Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses, I've begun to feel comfortable in English. Now, I'm working hard on my German, and after mastering it, I want to travel to South America to learn Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese! I also have some basic knowledge of French.
My hobbies include reading and watching movies, as well as listening to house music, rap, trap, jazz, R&B, soul, disco, salsa, and afro (mostly all blended)! I also love baking and cooking, but I want to challenge myself to improve more in them.
I love to explore new cities and new environments, especially when they're surrounded by nature (like on the sea or in a forest). What's more, I go to the gym regularly, and on my rest days, I practice yoga. After an awesome trip to Greece, I discovered that I am also very into watersports and hiking, and I would love the chance to immerse myself more in these sports.
I like to step out of my comfort zone to experience as much as possible and gather any kind of knowledge. I love to feel helpful and to make a positive impact on the environment around me.

Worked for 2.5 months full-time as a waitress in a Luxury Hotel in Austria. Improved German, learned how to serve guests (can carry three hot plates at once). My tasks included: cleaning a part of the kitchen, washing glasses, polishing cutlery, setting tables for breakfast and dinner, vacuuming and mopping the restaurant area, supervising the buffet, taking small orders (coffee, eggs, soft drinks), serving guests at breakfast and dinner (Halbpension).

July-September 2024
I've worked for three months in a conference centre and holiday home in Travemünde, Germany, as a service worker, cleaning lady and in children's animation.
In service, I worked early and late shifts, setting up the food buffet, cleaning tables and the floor, washing dishes, preparing food and beverages for the next shift/day and selling soft drinks, beers/wines at the cash register.
As per the cleaning, I vacuum-cleaned, mopped the floor, cleaned the bathroom, emptied the trash cans and changed towels. I also made the beds, cleaned the kitchen and removed the dust from the furniture. I did the laundry (towels and bed sheets) and folded them.
In children's animation mornings, I supervised children while they played freely with toys both inside a playhouse and outside in a garden. Once a week, we had a pizza-baking workshop, we set up a bonfire and sticks to cook bread, we had a movie night, and we decorated the playhouse for a small party.

I am flexible and hard-working, good at organising and planning. I have leadership tendencies.
I participated in a few short Erasmus+ mobility projects (which involved living, socialising, and organising activities on various topics with a group of strangers in different locations in the European Union), so I have soft skills and good interpersonal skills.
I also have experience with babysitting.
