Description
Hello! My name is Garrett. I'm 29 years old and from Baltimore, USA. I have plenty of experience traveling, mostly in Europe, and have lived and taught English in Italy and Spain.
I'm a quiet, independent person. I'm very kind, open, gentle, and understanding. I prefer to listen rather than talk in conversations, as I'm a great listener.
I love to write, read, travel, cook, drink coffee, jog in nature, and study and learn languages and cultures. I also adore animals, especially dogs and cats. I'm most passionate about learning fascinating things, especially psychology, but I always get excited to learning something new about anything.
As I mentioned before, I have lots of traveling experience. I studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland and also in Madrid, Spain where I lived with a host family. Then, after university I was an English Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in Malaga, Spain where I lived for 8 months. Then I lived in a small town in southern Italy for 9 months where I also was an English Teaching Assistant in a high school.
Between all this, I've explored so much of Spain, Italy, Ireland, and have been to many other countries through Europe and Latin America.
This summer, I want to try something new and do a workaway or volunteer work before I begin my career with the US government. I'm looking into Europe and Africa as my destinations. I look forward to an enriching experience helping and living among the locals and a meaningful cultural exchange! I would also love to practice Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, which I have very recently started to learn!

I am more interested in practicing Spanish, Italian and Portuguese more than I am teaching a language. I have a lot of experience teaching languages, but I want to try something new.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have a lot of experience tutoring and teaching languages: English as a foreign language, Spanish, Italian. I am fluent in Spanish and almost fluent in Italian. I play guitar and write creatively and non-creatively as well. I have plenty of experience living in and navigating other cultures. I also have experience pet sitting! Mostly dogs. I absolutely love dogs.
