Hello, I'm Freddie :) 26 years old from the uk!

I’m motivated by seeking out new, engaging and meaningful connections with people and places around the world. After studying Psychology at university, I gained a new appreciation for the value of mental health and the nurturing of others who surround me. I’m passionate about living in a safe and sustainable world where barriers to healthcare, education and employment are broken down so that everyone has equal opportunity.

I’m a keen traveller! I’ve been to over 30 countries and I’ve met many wonderful people, but I would love to be able to give back to the communities I visit. Previously, I volunteered in Australia in an eco-farm and house/garden work for the elderly and disabled. I loved it because I felt a connection with the local people, not just a cohort of tourists such as myself.

I’m currently learning Spanish, I still only have a basic level of speaking but I have wishes to ingratiate myself in local languages and culture. I appreciate the value of language exchange and believe it’s an excellent way of showing appreciation for the culture and building connections with locals.

I love playing football, reading, going to the beach, learning Spanish, playing my saxophone and occasionally some recreational poker games!

I’m currently learning Spanish at a basic level and I’m really keen to improve my skills here! I think it is a fantastic language and would love to be able to converse with locals more fluently than I can at this stage. I’m a native English speaker and would love to engage in some language exchange opportunities. I’m also interested in teaching English as a volunteer.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I would describe myself as easy-going, compassionate and sociable. I’m always seeking out new experiences and connections. I have plans to start a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2027 so I would like to consider myself to be a good listener and someone who can be relied upon to champion good values and ethics.

I’m a bit of an all-rounder really! In the past I’ve worked in a hotel cleaning rooms and changing beds, in a language schools with non-English speaking teenagers, manual labour and gardening in farms, as a support worker for adults with learning difficulties, as a delivery driver for a large organisation. I’m a quick learner and love picking up new skills so no job is too big for me to attack! I’m a beginner in Spanish but I’m very enthusiastic to learn more on my travels and hope to become more proficient with it.
