Hi there! We’re Franzi and Erik, a German couple traveling New Zealand on a working holiday visa. I’m a primary school teacher, and Erik is a plumber—we’re both hard-working, friendly, and love new challenges.

We’re passionate about exploring, meeting people, and trying new things. Whether it’s hiking, solving escape rooms, or lending a hand, we enjoy making the most of every experience.

We’re new to Workaway but excited to contribute, learn, and create meaningful connections along the way!

We bring a mix of practical skills and creativity to the table! I (Franzi) am a trained primary school teacher with a passion for education, crafting, and languages. Erik is a plumber with hands-on expertise, a talent for gardening, and a knack for all kinds of practical handiwork.

From organizing activities to creating something new or solving everyday problems, we’re quick learners who enjoy sharing our skills while picking up new ones. Whether it’s teaching, crafting, repairing, or lending a green thumb, we’re excited to contribute and grow!

I especially loved our conversations about art and culture, and we learned so much about both New Zealand and South Africa from them. Staying with Anthony was a fantastic first Workaway experience! He is incredibly kind, easy to talk to, and made us feel very welcome.
