à la maison
I grew up on Scotland's east coast in a tiny village of 600 people before moving to the city to attend the University of Edinburgh. Since then, I've taken every opportunity to travel, and I spent the third year of my studies in Bergen, Norway. I graduated from university in 2020 and now I'm trying to avoid the trap of the 9-5 life. I want to travel when the world opens up again, but for now I'm looking for experiences within Scotland.
I'm a cheerful, playful person, but I always stay calm, sensible and respectful.
I like being active – I was in my university's gymnastics club (only novice level though!) and recently started learning figure skating. I also enjoy climbing and hiking. Indoors I'm always happy to chill somewhere cosy and read a book or watch a film. I'm interested in languages and always love hearing people's stories.
I'm a native English speaker (and people tell me my accent is easy to understand), so I can always help with English. I also speak Norwegian at an advanced level, but I don't consider myself fully fluent yet.
For families/individuals – I can help with household chores, act as a big sister to children, be a general friendly face.
For hostels/organisations/businesses – I can help with photography/videography, creating online content, organising events, reception work.
Lately I've become very interested in learning about gardening, DIY and self-sufficiency.
And I can teach you all about Scotland! :)
