Dear Host,

My name is Doris. I am excited to share with you that I am currently traveling in Sri Lanka.

In my past years I was mainly working in a tourism. As a hotel manager my top priorities at work are reliability, efficiency, patience and respect.

During my work I also finished a carpentry school. The education provided me with basic practical knowledge.

Beside working and reparing, I also love travelling. For me its a way to realize my personal growth. From this perspective I apreciate the Workaway platform. Its not just about travelling, its about participating and helping each other. This memories are the reason of my travels.

- restoring wood objects and eager to learn how to build them again:)
- doing laundry; sorting and organizing things excites me,
- keeping calm and garden on, pull more weeds and prune some trees,
- not the best cook but an excellent cleaner,
- quick learner and a deep thinker.

doris was hear on the farm when weather was not good we did get some shearing done[not as mutch as i had hoped.] so back onto fenceing when weather was ok to work in beside the trees it was nice to do that peice of the fence . it was nice haveing some one staying a bit longer as i did not have to do mutch teaching. enjoy the south island

Staying with Stuart for three weeks on his beautiful farm, has been the most practical volunteering experience ever! It has been the whole farming lifestyle package with gaining new working skills, cooking methods and even entertainment habits, such as watching TV game show "The Chase".

Doris is a very quick learning volunteer and helpful I’ve had. She did help us a lot during her stay that I don’t know how to thank her. One time I had to stay in the hospital for my pregnant test and she handled the job at the reception very well. Indeed, she is very good at reception job really. Thank you again Doris!

Staying and helping at this place was a very pleasant experience. My help was inquired mostly in the morning time, with serving a breakfast, interacting with guest at the reception desk, checking them in. There is someting about this place.. The farm area, staff, animals, volunteers... To sum up my experience. We were sing up to volunteer from 7:30 to 11:00 and from 15:00 to 17:50.
