My wife and I are both high school teachers at an international school in Barcelona, Spain. I'm from New York; I grew up in the suburbs just outside of Manhattan. My wife is Polish (from Wroclaw) but moved to the UK when she was twelve and speaks perfect British English. We spend a lot of our free time in the summer traveling. We're active, upbeat, positive people, and we love the idea of contributing our efforts to a worthwhile project, while also escaping our own lives for a little while in new and interesting setting.

We are both teachers and have lots of experience teaching English. We have lived in Spain for 16 years in total and both speak fluent Spanish and could definitely teach Spanish, if desired.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
We like to work. Manual labor is great. My wife loves gardening and taking care of animals, especially cats, doing yoga, reading, hiking and anything that contributes to environmental sustainability. She has also chaperoned many Habitat for Humanity trips with groups of students, helping to build houses. I'm reasonably handy and in good physical condition. I'm also a musician, a singer-songwriter and guitar player, and I'd be delighted to teach lessons or perform during my stay. I know lots of songs and love jamming along with other people, as well. I'm also a chef... not professional, but a lifelong foodie and student of fine cuisine, and I love preparing hearty but refined home-cooked meals for good company. We're totally responsible and reliable and love working independently or in groups, very open-minded about how we spend out working time.
