Description

We’re Francesca and Davide, a couple from Italy who left the corporate world behind in search of a more meaningful and connected way of living. Since then, we’ve been traveling slowly, learning by doing, and offering our time and energy to inspiring local projects.

Our journey began in Southeast Asia, where we spent several months exploring Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. We were deeply inspired by the landscapes, the cultures, and the generosity of the people we met.

In the summer of 2024, Davide volunteered on a farm in Liguria, taking care of vegetable gardens and animals, while Francesca worked in a bar to be close to her family and save up for the next chapter. From October to December, we volunteered at an animal rescue center in Essaouira, Morocco — a powerful and unforgettable experience.

Now we’re in Latin America, continuing our journey through Workaway and engaging in experiences that help us grow — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We're looking for projects that align with our values and allow us to learn something meaningful, contribute with purpose, and connect deeply with people and place.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Our Skills and Experience

Languages: We can communicate effectively in Italian and English, with additional basic skills in Spanish (Davide) and Portuguese (Francesca).
Teaching: We have experience teaching English at a school in Cambodia, which helped us develop patience, creativity, and effective communication skills.
Cooking: Davide is a talented cook and finds it a relaxing hobby. We enjoy experimenting with new recipes and can share our love for Italian cuisine.
Photography: We both love photography and capturing the beauty of our travels. We're always eager to learn more about this art form and improve our skills.
Social Skills: We are very sociable and empathetic, making it easy for us to connect with people from different backgrounds. We have a natural ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
Marketing and Psychology: Although we have technical skills in marketing and psychology, we are looking to step away from this field. Davide, however, is open to occasional opportunities where these skills might be useful.



Hobbies and Interests

Surfing: Davide loves surfing and Francesca is currently learning. We enjoy spending time by the ocean and engaging in water sports.
Traveling: We are seasoned travelers with extensive solo travel experience, which has taught us adaptability, problem-solving, and independence.
Practical Skills: While we are very practical people, our city upbringing has limited our opportunities to put these skills into practice. We are eager to get our hands dirty and learn new practical skills through volunteering.



What We Hope to Achieve

We are enthusiastic about learning new things and contributing positively to the communities we visit. We aim to gain hands-on experience, particularly in areas like gardening, DIY projects, and other practical tasks. We are also excited to share our cultural heritage, teach Italian, and prepare traditional Italian meals for our hosts.

We enjoy engaging in activities together, whether it’s cooking, surfing, teaching, or exploring new places. Our combined skills and shared passion for learning make us a dynamic and resourceful team.
