Description

Moving around a lot as a kid gave me a nomadic spirit and the need to see different places. After high school I became a sailor and spent 5 years at sea, visiting many cool places. This only increased my need to explore more, and so, I've travelled as much as I could, ever since.

Travel has become my biggest passion; exploring new places, meeting new people and hearing their stories, learning about different cultures, learning new skills or techniques. So far, I've travelled to around 50 countries and territories.

After my time in the navy, I went to university, and upon graduation I set off travelling full-time. I've been travelling on and off for the past 6 years or so now. I travelled in South and Southeast Asia for a while, then spent almost 2 years in Australia. Covid forced me back to the UK for a while, but I set off again as soon as it was possible.

I decided to set off on a journey east, overland. I tried to get as far east as possible without taking a plane. Travelling across Europe, down the Balkans, into Türkiye, Georgia, Armenia and finally, Iran. Unfortunately, Pakistan were not forthcoming with a visa on that occasion and, combined with Azerbaijan's land border closure, meant I was unable to continue east overland. I spent another 6 months in Türkiye and the South Caucasus until my money ran out and I returned to the UK to work for 6 months.

Then, on October 1st 2023, I flew to Pakistan and set off on a journey following the Grand Trunk Road from Peshawar, Pakistan all the way through India, and finishing in Chittagong, Bangladesh in February.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have had a pretty varied work life over the years and so believe I have a wealth of skills and experience that could be transferred to most roles. Since leaving school I have worked as a communicator on navy ships, various roles in warehouses, a customer service manager, an advisor at NSW Government, project work at universities, working on numerous farms and in guesthouses.
