Hello, I'm Camila!! I'm a lover of animals (especially horses!), wildlife and photography, the ocean, dance (mostly social dances like salsa, bachata, and swing but I'm also learning samba!), reading, poetry, music and art in all its forms (I enjoy drawing, painting, embroidery, jewelry-making, and macrame), and spending time outdoors.

I'm a friendly, cheerful, adventurous, and curious person who loves to help others and make meaningful connections with new people. I'm 23 years old with family heritage from Guatemala. I grew up near the mountains in Colorado and then moved to Santa Barbara, California for college, where I majored in Environmental Studies. I'm passionate about wildlife conservation, environmental education, sustainable community building, and regenerative agriculture. I'd love to learn more about permaculture, natural horsemanship, gardening, woodworking, cooking, and anything artistic/creative - I love learning new things!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Lots of experience and passion for animals! Back in Colorado I was a volunteer at a farm animal sanctuary where I fed and cleaned stalls for pigs, sheep, cows, goats, horses, chickens, and ducks. I also walked dogs at my local animal shelter for 4 years and fostered several litters of kittens. I did my first Workaway at a horse rescue in California where I helped take care of about 60 horses.

- Horse care and riding: I took English riding lessons for about 10 years, and I have a bit of Western riding experience as well but I'd really like to learn more about it!

- Gardening, growing vegetables, composting: I worked on the student farm at my university, where I helped grow and harvest produce and make compost using worm bins and hot composting stalls.

- Art! I love photography, film, and drawing/painting so I'd be super excited to help with any art/media projects you have!

- I used to do a lot of little woodworking projects in my dad's workshop so although it's been a long time, I have some experience with wood cutting/light building projects and I think it's a lot of fun!
