Description
Hello! My name is Claire, and I am a 28-year-old Canadian. Nothing gives me more joy than travelling, meeting people, exploring new cultures, being in nature, and contributing to the bigger picture. I'm not shy of hard work- I worked as a tree planter in BC and Alberta Canada for 5 summers. I'm not afriad to get my hands dirty.
I'm also a professional photographer- I've had formal college training in BC, Canada and have been working as a photographer for 8 years or so now. I also do videography work (promotional videos, music videos, social media videos, drone landscape videos/photos). I've had amazing experiences in Costa Rica and Mexico (outside of Workaway), where I did professional photography for hostels in exchange for accommodation. That was SO rewarding, and I met incredible people in the process. As much as I love working alone, I also dream of doing a Workaway with a creative community of people where we can collaborate and create together. BIG fan of music as well, I play a bit of guitar and I love to sing. I'm definitely a creative & social person.
Other interests: yoga, meditation, learning about permaculture, community building, the LGBTQ+ community (safe & inclusive spaces are important), and learning new languages.

Even when she already left she stayed in contact with the new volunteer to give her all the needed information and help out.
What she contributed the most is much more than what we expect, as a professional photographer, she made a marvellous video clip for our center and gave us lots of woderful pictures. Some of them i have already uploaded… read more
My month at this place was a truly life-changing experience. I arrived hoping to find a sense of inner peace, unsure of how much I would connect with the practice of Buddhism. What I found was a clear and grounded path toward self-understanding and growth.
