Description
Hello! My name is Claire, and I’m a 28-year-old Canadian with a passion for travel, creativity, and connecting with people. I love exploring new cultures, spending time in nature, and contributing to meaningful projects. I’m not afraid of hard work- I worked as a tree planter in Canada for 5 summers, and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.
I’m also a professional photographer and videographer, with formal college training in BC and 10 years of freelance experience. My work includes promotional videos, music videos, social media content, and drone photography. I’ve been lucky to combine my love of travel with my work—I did a six-month solo trip across Southeast Asia, completing Workaways in Thailand (1), Vietnam (2), and Bali (1). Each experience was incredibly rewarding, allowing me to create professional photography for hostels, meet amazing people, and fully immerse myself in new communities.
While I enjoy independent work, I dream of joining a creative community where collaboration and shared projects are part of daily life. Music is another big part of my life—I play a bit of guitar and love to sing. I would describe myself as a creative, social, and curious person.
Other interests include yoga, meditation, permaculture, community building, supporting LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces, and learning new languages. I’m currently planning a trip to Spain in April/May to practice Spanish and explore whether Valencia could be a future home—my Spanish still has a long way to go, but I’m excited to learn and see if it’s the right fit.

Even when she already left she stayed in contact with the new volunteer to give her all the needed information and help out.
What she contributed the most is much more than what we expect, as a professional photographer, she made a marvellous video clip for our center and gave us lots of woderful pictures. Some of them i have already uploaded… read more
My month at this place was a truly life-changing experience. I arrived hoping to find a sense of inner peace, unsure of how much I would connect with the practice of Buddhism. What I found was a clear and grounded path toward self-understanding and growth.
