I love to learn new skills, meet new people, care for others and care for our wonderful natural environment💚🌏✌️.

I am calm and kind natured. I love relaxing 😌, yoga 🧘‍♀️, music 🎵, surfing 🏄‍♀️, cooking 🧑‍🍳, cycling 🚲, swimming 🏊‍♀️ and dancing 💃🏼.

But my biggest love in life is the ocean 🌊 💙.

I am interested in meaningful conversation and new experiences from which I can learn and grow ☺️.

I'm very down to earth and easy going. I am proactive and flexible and can keep myself busy finding tasks that need to be done!

I am a qualified and experienced yoga teacher 🧘‍♀️🕉️ (YTT 200, with references). I can teach in both English and Spanish. Right now I am completing my TEFL course to teach English.

I am working very hard on improving my Spanish. Currently I'm a B1 but I have started studying B2 content. The aim is to be fluent soon 🤞. I can comprehend and participate in conversations. When there are more than two people in a group it starts to get a little confusing. I prefer to speak Spanish rather than English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a people person with great communication skills. I am passionate about connecting with and getting to know people. From years of working on big and busy teams (with people from all across the world) I am great at motivating my team to work together to get the job done (and have fun along the way).

I have professional experience with yoga teaching 🧘‍♀️, child care 👩‍👧, hospitality ☕️, customer service 🛎, accounting and finance💰 and sustainability reporting (GHG emissions) 🌿. I also have advanced computer skills 💻 as my (ex)day job was reliant on Microsoft excel.

I have previous workaway experience (2.5 months) at an organic farm with a bar and pizza restaurant. I helped with nurturing, growing and harvesting in the food forest 👩‍🌾, cooking food for other workawayers 🧑‍🍳, making jam and baking 🧁, working in the bar 🍺 and the pizza kitchen 🍕 and teaching new workawayers.

After this first workaway I then went sailboat ⛵️ hitchhiking through the Caribbean 🏴‍☠️ (1.5 months). While living on the boat I needed to help with the watches 👀, share cooking responsibilities 👩‍🍳 and clean and deep clean the boat 🧽. A boat is a very small living space so it also helps to get along with your crew and captain ☺️.

I also have workaway experience (1 month) at a dog resort 🐶 and rescue centre, helping to look after the dogs, and clean and maintain the property.

I also have workaway experience (5 months) at 3 different beach front surf hostel 🏄‍♀️. I was responsible for reception 🛎, helping to cook breakfasts 🧑‍🍳, helping with odd cleaning jobs 🧽 and creating a nice and welcoming vibe for our guests ☀️. I also created the social media posts 📷. (This involved speaking a lot of Spanish as many of the tourists were from Latin America)

In addition at one of the hostels, I helped to create and improve some business processes/controls (inventory, purchases expenses etc) 💻. I also learnt how to use the hotel software called Lobby. This included understanding the integrations with the different booking platforms (e.g.booking.com etc).

I am a very competent swimmer 🏊‍♀️ , and have my advanced open water scuba certificate 🤿. In the past I have been a volunteer life guard 🛟.

I am a very keen cook, cooking vegetarian and vegan food and I also bake bread. I am a gardener with experience with indoor plants and veggie gardens.

Right now I am completing my TEFL course to learn to teach English online.

I am a super keen and quick learner and a very hard worker ☺️

Right now my main interest is learning about permaculture and sustainable food systems. After focusing my studies on consumption and waste, I believe the food system is a key area in our society that needs to drastically change if we are to avoid catastrophe. I want to be part of that change.

I would also love to learn about bikepacking and gain more experience surfing, rock climbing and scuba diving.

I am anti-capitalist 💰, a feminist 💃 and an environmentalist 🦋. I am an ally to Indigenous People, People of Colour, People of all Abilities and People who identify with the LGBTQIA Community 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️.
