I’m studying the Master's degree of Research in Education in UAB now. I speak 4 different languages (English, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese) and I have many volunteer experiences.
In June 2021, I became a Workaway member, and it opened up a world of incredible experiences for me. My first adventure took me to Belgium, where I had the wonderful opportunity to babysit and engage in language exchange with a lovely family. The kids, aged 5 and 8, filled my days with joy and laughter, making it a truly memorable experience.
During the Christmas holidays, I found myself in Northern Denmark, babysitting for another family. This time, I had the pleasure of caring for an adorable 2-year-old, and the festive season added a magical touch to the whole experience.
Estonia was my next destination, where I embraced the role of a babysitter for two charming children, one who was 1 year old and the other, 5 years old. It was heartwarming to witness their growth and share in their little adventures.
In the Netherlands, I joined yet another welcoming family, and it turned out to be another amazing journey. Each experience was unique and filled with beautiful moments. Spending time with these young souls brought me immense happiness, and it reaffirmed my love for being around children.

Chen was very sweet with babies, although she didn't know cooking so much at first, she learned a lot and very fast to help us with this. Same as with the house helping in general. She also is very carefull with the privacy of the house. It was a very interesting exchange of backgrounds and experiences.

Staying with Cris and Guillem, along with their amazing toddlers, was an incredibly special experience that will forever hold a cherished place in my heart. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend months with them, and right from the start, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable journey.
From the very beginning, they… read more warmly welcomed me into their home, ensuring I felt comfortable and at ease. Meeting their toddlers E and M was a heartwarming moment that I will treasure forever; their boundless energy and joyful spirits made every day a delight. It was evident that they had a love for reading and an admirable sense of independence.
Cris and Guillem taught me so much, immersing me in Catalan culture, sharing captivating historical insights and educational perspectives, and introducing me to an array of traditional Spanish dishes. Cris' culinary skills delighted my taste buds with delicious Mediterranean delicacies like pizza, croquetas, roasted aubergine, escalivada, Secret Recipe Salmon, tortilla and more – each bite was a delightful experience!
Their flat is situated in the most desirable area of Manresa, conveniently surrounded by parks, libraries, gyms, cafes, shopping streets, and more. The room they provided for me had a balcony with fantastic lighting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy coffee or read a book.
Throughout my stay, they treated me as part of the family, introducing me to their parents and siblings, who were all equally warm and kind. They generously included me in their daily life and events, and they even took the time to show me nearby sites and cities, making my time in Manresa truly enriching.
Manresa, with its rich history and location at the heart of Catalonia, captivated me, and I enjoyed discovering its beauty during my stay. The memory of stepping out of the Manresa train station and being left speechless by the grandeur of la Seu cathedral across the street is still vivid in my mind. The seamless transportation system in Catalonia makes it incredibly easy to reach Barcelona city center and the airport from Manresa.
I cannot praise this wonderful family enough; they cared for me from the moment I arrived until my last day, ensuring I had everything I needed. I am profoundly grateful for this experience and the love they showered upon me.
To Cris and Guillem, thank you from the bottom of my heart for welcoming me into your family. I had the most incredible time with all of you, and I sincerely hope our paths cross again in the future. ❤️.
