Description
Hi, I'm Caroline from Germany and I'm planning a trip to Canada in February. I love the workaway experience of becoming a temporary part of a family or local community and learning new perspectives and skills.
Back in 2014 I did my first workaway trip in British Columbia and had an amazing time there. In 2022 I returned to visit all my previous hosts, which was of course fun. This time I would like to experience the Canadian winter and also explore a bit more the Eastern part of Canada (I've only spent a couple of days in Montreal so far).
Back home, I work in fisheries management (actually inspired by one of my workaway places), which is interesting but mostly office-based. So in my free time, I love to get out of doors or do something practical.
I really like working alongside someone but of course I can also do jobs independently. I think I'm a responsible, hands on person and easy to get along with. I'm looking forward to get to know you and to help with your projects!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My previous workaways were mostly farmstays where I did a variety of things including gardening, animal care, painting. My highlight was probably when we built a little house to sell the farm's flowers in.
At home, I helped some friends to renovate an old house so I learned a little bit more about constructing. I'm also volunteering at a search and rescue group where the training includes all kinds of tools and machinery. I also enjoy gardening at my parents' place and am trying to grow some veggies there, with mixed results...
And I am always keen to learn more and improve my skills!
