Hello,

I'm Burak.

After studying linguistics in Istanbul, I moved to France in 2023. I’ve been on a gap year for over a year now, traveling through Workaway to explore different regions of the country and immerse myself in its culture.

I believe Workaway is a wonderful way to discover a culture by deeply engaging with locals, helping each other, and sharing meaningful experiences.

I have a strong interest in cooking, animal care, gardening, and permaculture practices. I also enjoy house sitting or dog/cat sitting, but I’m open to considering other tasks as well.

My friends describe me as kind, cheerful, open-minded.

I’m preparing my application for a master’s program in web communication. When I’m not working, I enjoy studying on my laptop to develop career-oriented skills & knowledge and to improve my English and French.

Je m'appelle Burak.

Après avoir étudié les sciences du langage à Istanbul, j’ai déménagé en France en 2023. Cela fait plus d’un an que je suis en année de césure, voyageant à travers Workaway pour découvrir différentes régions du pays et m’immerger dans sa culture.

Je pense que Workaway est un excellent moyen de découvrir une culture en s’engageant profondément avec les locaux, en s’entraidant et en partageant des expériences enrichissantes.

J’ai un grand intérêt pour la cuisine, le soin des animaux, le jardinage et les pratiques de permaculture. J’aime aussi faire du house sitting / pet sitting, mais je suis également ouvert à d’autres types de tâches.

Mes amis me décrivent comme quelqu’un de gentil et ouvert d’esprit.

Je prépare ma candidature pour un master en communication web. Quand je ne travaille pas, j'aime étudier sur mon ordinateur portable pour développer des compétences & des connaissances professionnelles et améliorer mon anglais et mon français.

With Spring coming, we had mainly outdoor activities in order to clean the garden. Burak did good job and the result was perfect.
We also took time to visit the village and the market on the typical provencal place of Fayence.

Great experience with Burak! He came in January and we really got along well. Very laid-back and always in a good mood, it felt like having a cool roommate. He's super tidy, cooked some great meals for us, and took good care of Moumoune. He blended in perfectly, and it was a pleasure to spend time with him.
