we just moved to Leipzig, hoping to settle down and save some money for the coming trip. we plan to leave Leipzig in about a year with a campervan to travel around Europe, discovering places and more.

hello everybody.

We are Ben (39 ) and Maayan (31), from Israel.
We met 4 years ago in a community (Kibbutz Neot Semadar in Israel where Ben grew up), which is a place that put a lot of emphasis on self observation, mutual learning, and awareness to our human patterns.
Now we finally embark on our well anticipated journey together, finding a way and place of living, that is suitable and contributing both us and others.
our first station is leipzig, germany, where we hope to establish a daily comfortable routine, relax, make new friends and relationships, and also save up some money to buy a campervan. afterwards, we will start travelling around europe.

Ben (who also holds a polish citizenship):
i am an avid rock climber and hiker, love the great outdoors, animals, woodworking, gardening, cooking, and self-sufficiency. I used to play the bass and guitar, but not so much anymore. I really enjoy learning by doing and often it is easier for me to get to know somebody or someplace by having something to do together. I like learning new languages and would always prefer to learn and speak other's native language. I have been wwoofing and workawaying in Israel, Australia, Germany and Spain, and absolutely love the volunteering idea and life. I am a vegetarian/vegan

Maayan:
I like dancing, listening to music and meeting people. I'm interested (but have only a little experience) in building, gardening and permaculture, sewing and handcrafting, cooking and baking (vegan only 😊 )
I like animals, reading, playing with toddlers, producing events and making peoples visions into reality. I am a good friend and easy going, like to experience new things with new people.

We are interested in learning more about communities and other ways of living which exist in the world. especially green and sustainable or alternative.
our dream is to one day have a small land of our own, living off the land and taking care of it in return.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Ben:
Has a skipper license (30) , forklift operator license and tractor operator license. Also some experience with other heavy machines like Bobcat's skidloader, Caterpillar's digger etc.
I am a sport climbing guide, and have experience teaching sport climbing to all ages and levels. I also have a year worth of experience in management (and working in) of a 9 dunam organic vegetable garden. I did some carpentry, some irrigation maintenance, cooking in restaurants, a year as a Kindergarten Teacher and so on...
In general, i love doing many things, i have some experience in many fields from my childhood in the kibbutz, and definitely don't have "two left hands".

Maayan:
I worked years as a waitress, so i am good with people and easy going. i have a lot of experience with kids, have worked 3 yeas as a kindergarten teacher.
