Ola workawayers! It’s been some years I wanted to join Workaway, and finally I’m here!
I’m an English instructor at a university in Izmir, Turkey and enjoy the rest of my time by learning piano, writing poems and songs. Not good at music yet, but songs became a powerful way of expressing myself in the last years, so I’m on the way and I like being on the way just as I like being on the road :)
There are lots of things to say about traveling, most of my poems also has the theme. My best experiences were with couchsurfing, I hosted people and became a guest several times. Meeting with couchsurfing became my utopia as I witness people who doesn’t know each other but trust enough to stay together. Therefore, the things I like the most about traveling are meeting different people and sharing moments with kindness and trust.
In addition to these, I like learning different kinds of dances and I’m a good swimmer. I can teach you some traditional Turkish dances, little bit of salsa and bachata and Lindy hop. I can also help with English language for sure.
I visited some cities in Europe and lived in Porto, Portugal for some time. I also stayed in the USA for a short time. I like intercultural dialogue and people sharing their skills.
