My name is Asuka, a university student at a national university in Japan, where I am currently studying law and politics.

Hello there! 😊

I'm a Japanese university student currently on a break from my studies. Since August of this year, I've had the wonderful opportunity to participate in Workaway in Denmark. My decision to travel to Denmark was influenced by my deep interest in the Danish culture of "hygge."

During my time in Denmark, I've gained valuable experience in various tasks, including painting, room cleaning, cooking, and gardening. I'm a versatile and hands-on individual, always eager to learn and help with a wide range of projects.

Beyond my practical skills, I have a keen interest in mental health and well-being. I enjoy practicing activities like yoga and meditation to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Through my Workaway experiences, my goal is to not only immerse myself in the cultures of other countries but also to share and promote the rich tapestry of Japanese culture. I believe that cultural exchange is a two-way street, and I'm excited about the prospect of facilitating this exchange during my Workaway adventures.

I have experience in a variety of tasks and skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening, painting, and caring for chickens. Additionally, I'm passionate about sharing Japanese culture. With 23 years of living in Japan and currently residing in a city neighboring Kyoto, I possess a profound understanding of Japanese traditions and customs, allowing me to offer insights into the unique aspects of Japanese culture. I'm enthusiastic about sharing this knowledge and promoting cultural exchange during my Workaway experiences.

-I love to read. I read a miscellaneous variety of books, including heartwarming novels, suspense, mysteries, business books, children's books, and many other genres.

-I am very interested in health (physical as well as mental health, of course) and I love meditation, exercise, and yoga. Recently, I have been trying to eat healthy for my body, mind and soul.
