I'm looking for a nice czech family that want help looking after their kids!

Description

I'm Arnau, a 27-year-old psychologist from Barcelona. I am starting my clinical master's degree in September and, in the meanwhile, I would like to spend some time living with a family and taking care of children, while ideally learning a little more about czech culture.

I would like to work with children mainly for personal reasons, because I want to be a father some day and I hope that this experience will improve my abilities to raise my children well. Additionally, I have always loved spending time with kids (I have a sister 15 years younger than me, and many little cousins); I find it to be a very nourishing experience, as they're always so full of joy and life, and (unlike most adults) they are usually very caring and kind.

I am also interested in learning about czech culture, and ideally a bit of the language as well. In my travels, I aim to find the place where I will want to raise my family in the future; I've previously been to Germany, Serbia, and Hungary, and now I want to see how good of a fit the Czech Republic would be. I love traveling the world and discovering new cultures, new ways of seeing things, new approaches to life that I maybe had not thought of before, and I hope to get to truly understand how the czech people live.

Relevant to work: I've worked mainly in psychological clinics, mostly related to addiction recovery. I have also volunteered before in taking care of dogs, both in a private house and at a shelter. I have no prior professional experience working with children, but it's a field I would love to explore.

About me: I consider myself a cheerful and very curious person. My biggest love in life is learning new things and feeling a true sense of freedom. My main hobbies are writing, making educational videos, and working out. I want to live a life without regrets.

I speak catalan, spanish, english, some german and a little bit of serbian. I can teach your children english or spanish!

Other relevant details: I am working for a mental health start-up which is currently in its initial stages and therefore not making any money. I would need a few hours every day to dedicate to it. Other than that, I would love to feel like a member of the family and help around the house or with the little ones.

Although I don't expect to become fluent, I think learning the basics of the language is essential to get a grasp of the culture. Therefore, I would love to learn a little bit of czech. I can teach Spanish or English.

Ah, I wrote everything already in the profile description, my bad.

I would say my two most developed skills are people skills (mainly emotional skills) and technical skills (like programming, web design, etc). I was trained as a therapist and have a good ability to understand the mental space someone else is in. I tend to value the human aspect over everything else.

I can also cook! Even though I'm still a humble student of the craft.
