Hi! We are Angelo and Erica, partners but above all friends :)
We are two university students and we are following two different paths – Angelo is attending a Master’s degree in Statistics, Erica a Bachelor’s degree in Global Humanities – but we are complementary to each other!
We are young and aware that we still have a lot to learn (even though learning never really ends!!), and we believe that nothing more than human and cultural exchange, collaboration and interacting with plurality can be a tool for growth – both as individuals and as citizens in this increasingly interconnected world.
Taking part in a Workaway program for us means living more authentic experiences than traditional tourism (which we’ve always loved to practice!) since it’s based on reciprocity: we’re motivated by the idea of contributing, by offering our time, energy and skills, and receiving in return knowledge, new perspectives, inspiration and stories to tell :)

Yes, we are definitely interested in learning and improving our language skills! We both think language is one of the best ways to really connect with people — not just for practical things, but to share ideas, laugh together, and understand each other better. We really enjoy the idea of having a common language to communicate, as is the case of English, but we’re also very excited about exchanges in our own languages: it’s always beautiful to see how people can teach each other expressions and ideas from their own cultures and still find common ground!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We’re both confident with manual tasks like painting, basic maintenance, DIY work, and gardening, we both grew up very familiar with craft work and creativity— Angelo’s father is a mason and Erica’s father is an architect.
We enjoy creative activities like drawing and playing music — Angelo plays the guitar, and Erica plays the piano — and we love contributing to community spaces or events with our hands and our energy. Through our Erasmus+ experiences abroad (Erica in Scotland and Angelo in Spain), we’ve learned how to adapt quickly to new environments and cultures. We speak fluent English, Italian, and Angelo speaks a bit of Spanish.
We’re also very comfortable working in teams, in hospitality settings and around children (we both have experiences as babysitters and Erica is the eldest sister of five siblings, so she's is very used to being around and taking care of kids! The same goes for Angelo, since he's been working as an after-school tutor for children and teenagers for years). We’re respectful, reliable, and quick learners. Whether it’s helping in the garden, supporting a family, assisting with guests, or working outdoors, we’re happy to contribute and bring positive energy wherever we go.
