Hi there. My name is Álvaro, Im American-Dominican(Born in New York, but have lived most of the time in Dominican Republic). I consider myself as Bicultural. Im seeking to know and travel the world. :) I've done some Workaway in Nicaragua, Panamá, Mexico, Detroit, California and Seattle so far and all have been great experiences. I want to continue workawaying because it facilitates me to travel slowly which allows me to make new friends, learn about different cultures(inmerse into a country) and visit unique places. Im a nice guy, easygoing, responsible, hard worker and adaptable. I can help with basically everything except Maybe with cooking. Im not a great cook haha

I stayed about 8-9 days and I have to say it wasn't a very good experience. I have to be fair and honest, Galo is a cool and nice guy and I don't have anything against him, but the problem was the same as the Workawayer before me explained in her review. There's a LACK of organization and those 1-2 hours he says you are supposed to work are kind… read more

I had a wonderful time in Khadija and Seamus house. I spent 2 weekends there plus an extra day :). The work didn't even feel like work, it was very fun and time went very fast. The food was also GREAT! Thanks to Seamus for taking us on a hike up the San Gabriel Mountains, it was a nice experience! They are very interesting people! Thanks for… read more

Al is an AMAZING guy who helped us with a TON of projects and we really appreciate what he did for us! I spent 2 months there and it was awesome! I even felt part of the family haha. Alex and Jenny(also Maya and company) just make you feel so confortable that it's hard to say bye! They are the perfect example of how Hosts in Workaway should be. They are always planning some kind of activity/cultural exchange which are very fun and educating.… read more

Alv is a super chill person, yet a good worker as well.
A thorough,detail oriented type of guy who casually acccomplishes all task and makes it look easy. He does not stress out! He s comfortable to be around.......

(Help us in our Backpackers ...)
I had a really great time in this hostel in Chitré and mostly because of Mike who is a very funny and relaxed man with good conversations. I spent about 10 days in Chitré, a nice and safe little town relatively near to some cool beaches like Playa Venao. Mike is very flexible about the hours so you can have some good time to chill.
