Hello, my name is Alice. I am a 29 year old woman from the UK but currently living in Germany. I love exploring, being in nature and chatting round the campfire. I am happy to help out with all sorts and not afraid to get my hands dirty! I would especially love to learn more about growing food/foraging, permaculture and cooking. I am a kind and conscientious person, and enjoy a balance of being sociable and having time alone to paint or read or lie in my hammock contemplating :)

I have a new job (a postdoc in soma design research) starting in Stockholm in August. I decided to end my old job early and make a tiny van conversion to travel around Europe for a few months on my way there. I feel like I am a crossroads in my life and am hoping to be inspired by some different ways of living that are more connected to land, heart and community.

Skills: I am a good all-rounder, enthusiastic helper and learn quickly. For some of my childhood I lived on a farm and helped out with lots of the day-to-day tasks with the animals and land management. Have also done lots of volunteering, eg with events, food prep, eco projects, etc. I do a lot of different crafts and love making things, so am good with my hands. I have also general DIY skills and made my little van conversion by hand (mostly learning from youtube videos though!).

Other hobbies/interests: lindyhop and swing dance, traditional crafts, sewing, sketching/painting/collage, meditation and embodied practices, philosophy.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I would say I am a good all-rounder, I love being helpful and grew up helping with gardening, cooking, caring for farm animals and general DIY. I studied engineering and can usually figure out how to make things (am currently making my van conversion myself) but haven’t learnt specific skills.
