Hi there! This profile is from two happy young and independent women, full of energy and excitement to learn about the world and to exchange adventures and perspectives. We have lived in 5 different countries and fallen in love with the cultural differences that make the world such an amazing place.
A little bit more about us:
This is Laura, an English-and-physical-education teacher at high school level. My main purpose, as an educator, is to make my students become better people and better citizens. I would love to enrich my perspective with this experience to be able to bridge different cultures. Thus, I expect this experience to help me make my students more sensitive and more aware of how big and diverse the world is.
And I’m Aina, an industrial ecologist specialised in circular economy. Driven by the urgency of climate action and the principles of environmental justice. I am committed to making a positive impact and contributing to a sustainable future through my work and lifestyle.
We collaborate with Engineers Without Borders (Catalonia) and Service Civil International, two NGOs that focus on the achievement of a just international society by working on the provision of basic services and the management of resources/ territory in developing countries and the promotion of the culture of peace, global justice and social transformation, respectively.
Sports, life experiences, and our professional and academic careers until now have made us outside-the-box thinkers, a go-getter, and fast learners. We enjoy teamwork, adapt quickly to changes, and absolutely love challenges.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

For a little bit of context, we both moved away at 17 to go study and play basketball to the USA with an athletic scholarship. Probably this made us two very resourceful people. We both love sports and could teach Catalan, Spanish and English.
Laura: I am great at taking care of kids and amusing them. I have taken care of my grandparents and their houses. I love animals, mostly cats, but I live with a dog. I like to do different team bonding. I like food a lot and helping to cook it.
Aina: I have a little garden on the terrace, always help my dad fix his boat and enjoy dancing. I love getting creative on how to give a second life to waste!
