Hiya!! I'm Abi, an 18 year old from England, aspiring to go pretty much everywhere! For me, travel is all about discovering new parts of the world as well as new parts of yourself, and the combination of such diverse cultures, landscapes, languages and people excites me more than anything.

I'm a super sociable person, who loves to yap, and you'll always see me with a smile on my face! I love being around people, especially ones I can learn from, and I believe there's always a story in everyone, no matter how dull you think you are :) My passion is languages, and I'm currently learning five- French and Spanish at intermediate levels, and Japanese, BSL and German at beginner levels ! I think they're all so unbelievably interesting, and the more I learn, the more my confidence grows and I learn more about myself! Plus they're handy when travelling, of course ;)

Workaway for me is the best way to gain amazing new experiences and acquire more skills, and I'm so excited to share my love for languages, exploring, arts, music and spirituality with like minded people! Travelling is all about connection for me, and I know I can bring forward a positive, lively personality to some beautiful new communities wherever I volunteer! I'm very open minded, optimistic, independent and respectful, and I'd be thrilled to give my all in helping whichever ways I can wherever I end up :)

As very clear on my profile haha, I LOVE languages, and am always 100% up for a language exchange! I'm especially interested in improving my Spanish, but I'm also keen on gaining confidence in speaking French, as I can't let myself lose it ;) If anyone wants to practice their English with me, or practice French or Spanish alongside me, I'd be delighted! Even phrases in completely new languages is always exciting to learn!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm very flexible, so happy to help in any way I can! I can adapt easily to most tasks I'm given, and as I'm a big people person, I thrive when dealing with communication, whether that's chatting to hostel customers or with children in schools- I love kids and working with them! I am also totally capable of any tasks in the garden, or general housework such as washing dishes, laundry- any way I can be of use, I'll work with it and adapt easily to the job! I've worked with kids before, worked in both retail and hospitality so am very familiar with both environments, and can work very well under pressure, all with a smile on my face of course! I can also use basic communication in French after doing an A-level in it, and am comfortable speaking some Spanish too, if need be with anyone- though of course I'm all about improving them!

As for hobbies, I love all sorts! I'm super big on spending time away from screens, so I spend as much time as possible engaging in activities such as journaling, crafting, writing, reading, listening to music, yoga, calisthenics, going on walks, and, of course, learning languages!
I'd consider myself very spiritual, and absolutely adore spending time in nature- it's where our souls belong, and so important to connect with it as much as possible <3
