Hello there!
I’m a 33-year-old traveler from Montreal with a passion for cultural exchange and meaningful experiences. I've backpacked across Central America, worked in a hostel for two months, and taught English in a small Guatemalan community for 1 month. These experiences taught me the value of connecting with local cultures and contributing positively wherever I go.
I speak French (native), English, and Spanish, and I'm always eager to improve my language skills. I love diving into new cultures, discussing politics, history, and exploring new places.
I am an hard-working realist optimist and I get along with people very easily. I have met so many nice people in life that It gives me hope for the future.

I’m a quick learner, which has been key in developing various skills throughout my travels. My leadership and strong judgment have been honed through diverse experiences, from managing hostel operations to coordinating projects.
I have hands-on experience in hostel management, having worked in a hostel in Guatemala City for two months. My role was focused on enhancing the guest experience, organizing tours, and managing day-to-day operations. I took the initiative to partner with local venues to offer unique experiences, which resulted in extended stays and positive reviews. I’m comfortable with reception duties, guest relations, and even stepping up to manage the hostel in the owner’s absence.
I’m also passionate about teaching and language exchange, though my focus now is on opportunities that allow me to work in dynamic environments like hostels, bars, eco-farms, or similar settings. I’m eager to contribute to projects where I can interact with people, share experiences, and learn from others.

I’m a laid-back, friendly person who thrives on meaningful connections—whether it’s through a deep conversation, a game of cards, or a shared adventure. I enjoy biking, swimming, and learning new things, always eager to immerse myself in new experiences and cultures.
From September 2024 to March 2025, I’ll be backpacking through Central and South America. I like to adapt my itinerary along the way but for now I am thinking mostly of Colombia, Ecuador, Northern Brazil, Costa Rica and Panama. In April, I’ll embark on a unique journey, joining a crew of voluntary sailors on a traditional sailship to cross the Southern Pacific Ocean—a thrilling 8-month adventure from Panama to Palau (Asia). Before setting sail, I’m looking forward to volunteering in local communities, deepening my understanding of the places I visit, and forging connections that go beyond just passing through.
