Description

I’m a university student from Japan, currently studying in Finland as an exchange student. I love learning new things, exploring different cultures, and gaining fresh perspectives. Nature is also a big part of what inspires me, which is why I chose to study in Finland.

For the same reason, I joined Workaway—to step out of my comfort zone, experience new ways of living, and connect with people from different backgrounds. Trying new things and embracing new experiences bring me happiness, and that’s what motivates me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a master’s student in mechanical engineering with a strong academic background. I also hold a high school math teaching license in Japan. Currently, I’m expanding my knowledge by studying education and will be focusing on electrical engineering during my time in Finland.

My native language is Japanese, and I also speak English. I previously studied Chinese in Japan and am currently learning Finnish.

Outside of academics, I have a strong physical ability thanks to my experience in orienteering—a sport that involves running through forests while navigating with a map and compass. I love nature and animals. My grandparents had a dog, and I often took him for walks. In my family, we also had a hamster, and I regularly took care of her.

I enjoy new experiences and adapting to different environments, making me open-minded and eager to contribute wherever I go.

I love traveling abroad and have visited many countries in Asia, as well as the U.S. and Canada. Now, I’m excited to explore more European countries.

Recently, I’ve developed an interest in playing the piano. I enjoy experiencing new things and stepping out of my comfort zone, which is why I'm looking forward to meeting hosts and embracing new opportunities!
