Hi, I’m Yining from Taiwan, a small country with beautiful nature, friendly people, and of course, bubble tea!

I study psychology and have studied in both Taiwan and the UK, but I like to think the whole world is my classroom. I love learning from people and different cultures, which always inspire me with new perspectives✨️ The Portuguese Camino I just completed helped me understand this more deeply and taught me a lot about life.

I’m excited to be a new Workawayer! I may not know everything, but I’m hardworking, curious, and willing to learn. I have quite a bit of volunteering experience – with children, stray animals, homeless people, and people in hospitals. These experiences have made me more patient and open-minded :)

I speak fluent Mandarin and English. I love photography and always bring my camera to capture incredible moments. I especially love taking portraits because I find warmth and humanity in people’s faces🤍 I’m also learning to film and edit videos.

For other interests, I love traveling, running, hiking, dancing, music, movies, and reading. My biggest interest now is spirituality, which is a new universe to me!!

I hope to bring positive energy wherever I go and learn from every person I meet :)

Speaking both Mandarin and English has allowed me to connect with people from different cultures, which is something I truly treasure! Language has brought me many meaningful friendships and memories, and I’d love to share my learning experience and tips with anyone who wants to learn. I’m also always open to learning new languages, because I believe language is one of the best ways to truly understand a culture and connect with people’s hearts :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I speak fluent Mandarin and English. I have worked as an English tutor for five years and enjoy designing creative materials that fit how children learn best. I haven’t taught Chinese before, but I believe with the right ideas, I can make it fun and engaging!

I’ve been doing photography since I was 17. Although it’s not my job, I have plenty of experience, especially in portrait photography. I can help with taking formal photos of people or objects. I’m also learning to film and edit videos.

I have worked as a hostel helper and a psychology teacher. In hostels, I’m experienced with cleaning, organizing rooms, and general daily tasks. As a psychology teacher in a rural area, I taught children to understand themselves and build mental strength through psychology.

At university, I founded a student organization called Lighten Street to raise awareness about homelessness, which helped me develop leadership, planning, and teamwork skills.
