Hey everyone, I´m Xenia. Travelling is my passion and with workaway I want to connect with people. I am eager to learn from everyone, exchange knoweledge and grow through the experiences.

Description

Hello, my name is Xenia. I grew up in Germany and then moved to Switzerland. I am a very curious person and enjoy learning and experiencing new things. On that note, I can get motivated to do nearly anything. So if you want to share something you are passionate about, I'm definitely going to listen very carefully, and there is a good chance I want to try it out myself :)

I joined workaway because I wanted to do something meaningful while seeing new places. I want to get to know different people, various perspectives, and lives and learn from it. I believe that there are so many different stories out there to be told, and I would like to listen to them.

Lastly, a little background about myself. I come from a scientific background (I studied chemistry) but started teaching lab courses and enjoyed that very much. So, I would love to expand my knowledge to teach and work with children and am looking for opportunities. However, since I haven't decided what my next job will be, I'm open to trying out something new too. So if you are willing to teach me whatever may be needed, I would happily help out with dedication even if I have never done something related to it. :)

I am generally very interested in learning new languages and sharing my knowledge of the languages I know. I planned on starting french soon, so I would love to learn that. However, I would be very happy to start any other language as well or expand my skills in spanish and dutch.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am willing to learn anything that is needed and lend a helping hand wherever needed.
I can help with housekeeping, cooking (mostly vegetarian), and cleaning. I also love decorating and making places look nicer and cozier.
Since I really enjoy teaching, I would be very happy to help with schooling or anything that you want to learn. I am very interested in going more into community work or education in the future, so I am grateful for any opportunities where I could gain more experience in these fields.
Furthermore, I am a good listener and try to do things very thoroughly. Also, I come from a scientific background and love communicating, so we could have interesting conversations.
I also have a variety of hobbies, which I'm not a pro at because I'm interested in so many things, some of which are: hiking, surfing, skiing, yoga, meditation, singing, playing the violin, learning (like courses in communication or mediation), reading, crafting, decorating, photography, going to the zoo and learning languages.
