Description

Hello, fellow Workawayers and hosts! We are Chloe and Alexander, a passionate couple with an insatiable wanderlust. Ever since we met we've been living together the dream of a nomadic lifestyle. For the last 2 years we've been that in British Columbia, Canada where we are from.

We are now on an exciting backpacking journey with a dual purpose. One, to explore the diverse cultures, landscapes, and stories that this beautiful world has to offer. And second, to seek inspiration and learning to help us accomplish our own dream of creating an eco-tourism destination focused on catering to slow travelers that wish to feel part of a community and contribute to the countries they are visiting. Our hope is that we can connect with like-minded people that want the same and take part in creating the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.

We've built an instagram page "wyldlanders" to chronicle our journey and have plans to grow our online presence from there. Along with our business DigitalWYLD where we help individuals enter the digital space as entrepreneurs. Our goal is to use workaway to build skills, meet new friends, and have some unforgettable experiences. We want to share these experiences online to show people that it's possible to have incredible life-changing experiences around the world by contributing back to the people and countries we visit.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are a couple that are not afraid to get our hands dirty. We are keen to help in any way we can and if for any reason we don't have a lot of experience in the particular skills you are looking for we can make up for it with an enthusiastic attitude to show up with open minds and open hearts. We are hands on learners and we believe we have a lot to offer any host that would like to welcome us into their space.

We are both building skills around thriving in the digital space specifically around digital marketing and social media management. Together, we form a strong digital team. We would love to offer our assistance with social media management and content creation, helping hosts create an online presence that reflects their unique vision and values. We believe that having a strong online presence is essential for any business these days and we are excited to contribute our skills to this area.

Through our life we have gained valuable experience in various fields. Alex was a top notch treeplanter for 8 years and worked in restaurants as a bartender/server/prep-cook
off and on for over 10 years. Chloe has provided childcare both as a nanny and as preschool teacher and also worked front-of house in restaurants for 2 years.. Together we've engaged in agriculture work such as grape picking and garlic harvesting, and taken on many other tasks that require a variety of skills and dedication. We also have experience in housekeeping , where we honed our skills in creating a welcoming and clean environment.

Alex has a Diploma in Environmental Planning, and is eager to learn more about eco-conscious practices and how they can be applied within community practices. We believe in the importance of sustainable and organic food production and would love to contribute to growing fresh produce. Additionally, we would be thrilled to help take care of farm animals, helping with the attention and care they require.

We also think it's worth mentioning, we make a killer team in the kitchen! We absolutely love cooking and enjoy preparing delicious meals together. From experimenting with new recipes and incorporating fresh ingredients, we take pride in creating wholesome and flavorsome dishes to share with others.

Aside from all that, Alex has a huge passion for music and is always on the lookout for his new favorite song. While he doesn't play as much anymore he has dabbled with guitar for over 15 years. Chloe loves expressing creativity with natural materials and has experience in crafting macramé pieces, creating driftwood art, and mandala dot painting. She believes that art has the power to connect people and inspire positive change, and we're excited to share and learn from others' creative passions.
