Description

I’m an artist, maker and environmentalist. My working career has been in creative education and I currently support autistic students on degree courses. I’m interested in ecology, the poetic and the sacred.
I would say that my approach to life is holistic and celebratory, embracing aliveness, creativity, spirituality and adventure. I have a yoga practice and like to dance and laugh and swim and talk about things deeply. I enjoy live music and performance and exploring ideas through film and exhibitions (and discussion). Our human relationship with nature is important to me. I love walking, camping and being in wild places, and being in, on and near the sea. I enjoy growing, cooking and sharing food with friends and family, particularly outside, particularly around a fire. I have two grown-up children.
I’m interested in language and other cultures and different ways of being and living. I enjoy stories, of people and of the land. I am friendly and adaptable. I have lived and worked in France, Spain, Germany and Italy, and would like to travel more widely and involve myself in communities and projects overseas.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have good verbal and written communication skills, and have taught languages and art/design subjects to a range of different ages and abilities.
I enjoy making and have 2D and 3D creative skills in textiles (knitting, weaving, sewing, felt-making, etc) and drawing, painting and printmaking. I’m practical and will have a go at most things that involve me using my hands.
I like food although I choose not to eat meat. I enjoy cooking creatively with fresh ingredients and would love to exchange ideas around this, as well as around art and making and growing!
I have experience of organic growing including composting and the maintenance of healthy soil. I love this contact, and relationship, with the earth.
I would be happy to share my yoga practice.
I can drive.
