Actuellement, nous sommes

Description

We are a young, enthusiastic, adventurous couple.
We have always had the dream to travel, grow, learn new things and meet new people, which is why in 2020 we went on a journey through workaway to make it a reality. We left our home country of sunny South Africa to travel Europe. Little did we know that a pandemic would interrupt our plans 6 months in and turn the world a little upside down. However, luck was on our side and after meeting some wonderful hosts, plans changed and we soon found ourselves an apartment and stable jobs, Tiffany as a teacher in a kindergarten and Jonty as a key account manager, in Stuttgart, Germany. Slowly but surely life normalised and we had found ourselves learning German and loving our new home. In 2024 we purchased our own apartment and with some of the skills learnt through workaway we renovated our place and fully settled in Stuttgart.

However the wish to travel and discover more remained constant in our hearts and minds.
Finally - we decided that it's time again! With unending curiosity, we have paused our job contracts and plan to travel for an exciting 8 months.
Cue Workaway, our favourite way to travel, meet awesome people and discover new places. We are excited to meet you, share, learn, work, cook, inspire and more with the ultimate goal to contribute to a sustainable and mutually enjoyable exchange program.

Hobbies and interests:
We both love - hiking and nature. Talking with friends around a bonfire. We spend most of our holidays camping in the mountains and enjoying the outdoor lifestyle. We enjoy going on scenic runs or walks. Tiffany is a Marathon runner and Jonty delights in time on lakes with his SUP. Tiffany loves cooking up a storm and trying out new recipes for friends and family. Jonty is the joker in the relationship - he is always quick to put a smile on your face.

*How we envision our time with you:*

While we are very hard and energetic workers; we really value the cultural exchange of Workaway and would appreciate hosts that are available for cultural/personal exchange.
Therefore we are looking for more than a simple exchange of our time for food and board.
Cooking, relaxing, talking and travelling together with our hosts is also desired from time to time.
We would love to learn more about:
>How to live sustainably (Farming practises and small holdings)
>Building projects - building from scratch or modernization.
>Different food and cultures.
>Ways to do life "better"
