Greetings to all hosts and collagues in WAW!
My name is Anton (aka Tosh), and I am seeking for volunteering (animal care / farm help is preferable but not limited to) with a view to make new friends, to learn more about new countries and peoples, possibly to study a new language, and just to enjoy living on a road.
I am a Pomor from Arkhangelsk province of Russia. The Pomors are a small ethnicity of the Russian nation historically formed standalone under severe conditions of the White Sea region. Since old ages my fellow countrymen are distinguished as honest, industrious, and friendly people.
I am a traveling freelance author and translator since 2010, a kind of a 'digital nomad'. My first profession is a marine engineer, and the second one is a translator (EnglishRussian). During my vagabonding adventures, I have got many useful skills, at least for simple jobs, such as a farm helper and a housekeeping assistant (cleaning, cooking very simple dishes, shopping, pet care, minor repair, e.g., plumbing, helping with computers and Internet, and photo a little).
I am not afraid of any work, and the preferable one is animal care. I grew up among pets, and I love animals very much. In 90th my parents were running a small farm with chickens and rabbits, and I helped them after working hours and every weekend. We were always keeping dogs, cats, fishes, and parrots. The pet that occupied a special place in my heart was Yarry, a Riesenschnauzer. She was a real friend and an excellent guard, so sad that she died in her 13 yo only (cancer((. And Beady (a queen cat) still enjoys my old folks and hunts mice, as I am living on the road.
Also, I have a valid international driving license (A+B) and driving experience since 1997, including the experience of professional work as a delivery truck driver and a loader.
Regardless I am 50, people say that I am in a shape of a young man under 30 and that I am a positive person.
I am attentive, eager to study and obtain new skills, fast learner and good team player, able to define tasks and keep time. I am low-maintenance and absolutely not a picky-eater (no problem if you are vegetarian, I can join & enjoy :)).
I have no harmful addictions, only pipe smoking (strong ‘navy’ tobacco), but never in front of non-smoking people, kids, and animals.
I love music, and I used to play a guitar and a harmonica.
I speak English (fluent), Russian (native), Swedish (intermediate), German & Serbian (beginner), French & Dutch & Norwegian (low), maybe one of these languages will be my major one day.
