Description

My name is Tom, and I am a qualified arborist from New Zealand with extensive experience in tree care and maintenance. My partner, Samara, is a flight attendant with a passion for customer service and hospitality. We are both eager to embark on a new adventure and are excited about the opportunity to experience new and diverse cultures around the world.

As an arborist, I have worked in various environments, including parks, botanical gardens, and private properties. I have experience in a wide range of tree and garden care and was a landscaper before moving into arboriculture. I have experience leading teams and building new relationships. I love working outside and always bring a positive attitude to whatever I do.

Samara's experience as a flight attendant has given her exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills as well as first aid and emergency procedure training. She has worked as a flight attendant for the past 5 years, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for passengers. She was working as a waitress and progressed to sous chef before becoming a flight attendant, and also has experience in early childhood care.

We are both keen surfers, swimmers, campers and hikers, who love being in nature and anything creative. We attend music festivals throughout NZ every year and thrive in social environments, meeting new people and making friends.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Tom:
I am a qualified and experienced climbing arborist with a strong background in garden care and landscaping. Additionally, I possess skills in graphic design using the Adobe Creative Suite and have a basic understanding of web design. My passion for cycling has led me to gain extensive experience working with all types of bicycles, from restoration to building and repairs from the ground up.

Samara:
With years of experience as a flight attendant, I have developed exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. I am also well-versed in the restaurant industry, having worked in busy establishments in both service and cheffing roles. My deep love for animals has inspired me to spend quality time caring for and playing with them.

Together:
As a dynamic duo, we are both active outdoor enthusiasts, enjoying various adventurous activities. However, we also cherish quiet evenings spent hanging out, listening to music, and sharing a meal with friends.

Overall, we are excited to bring our diverse skill set, enthusiasm, and positive energy to contribute to meaningful projects through Workaway.
