Description

I'm an adventurous Canadian who loves to travel and explore. I've traveled and lived extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, Africa and South America. A few years ago, I spent six months in India and about 9 months exploring other parts of southeast Asia, New Zealand and Australia.
I grew up in Canada, England and Spain, where I attended local schools. I like meeting people and immersing myself in different cultures.
I worked in public health for many years. I'm now working in a paediatric emergency room and doing freelance journalism. I write about health-related issues as well as politics, fitness and current issues. I enjoy weight lifting, running, tennis, biking, swimming, horseback riding and traveling.
In summer 2017, I did two Workaways in Burgundy, France where I helped with garden work, painting, dog sitting, taking care of horses, cooking and odd jobs. I spent my free time exploring France. I've volunteered at Workaways in Austin, Texas and Lafayette, Louisiana where I helped with organizing a garden and event space. I also volunteered at Workaways in Australia and New Zealand, working on vineyards, cattle/sheep/dairy farms, helping with housework, animal care and working at a hostel. I'm very excited to continue my travels and to be inundated with the tastes, sites and sounds of a new place.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Gardening, painting, farm work, health care, public health, first aid, teaching, writing, dog sitting, taking care of horses and other animals, horseback riding, fitness, biking, swimming, social, administration and organizational skills. I enjoy shopping at farmers markets, cooking and would love to learn how to make local dishes. I love working outdoors.
