Hello!
My name is Tiago, I'm Portuguese and I'm a 23 years old. I work as a children's counselor / summer camp activities monitor 6 months a year and am I traveller and nomad for the other 6 months. I graduated in computers engineering after travelling I understood being a nomad and spending my life with children was my passion, so I stuck with it. I'm really happy for that.
Not only, since I'm from Portugal, I can speak Spanish, English and Portuguese.
I love travelling because it forces you to go past your confort zone every single day while you meet new people, new cultures, new places while you grow and learn more than ever!
With this love, I define myself as someone who wants more, who wants to know more, to learn more, to face his fears and who's future goal is to be HAPPY and to be MORE!

----------MY TRIP----------
Me and my brother, Gonçalo are travelling through Jordania, Israel and Egypt for the next 2 months. We'll be starting in Mexico and slowly head south.
Our plan is to go with the flow, to volunteer, to get down to it and embrace the culture. To grow and to have fun.

Some to-do goals: Visit Petra and the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Giza Necropolis, take a SCUBA divign course, volunteer with children, save an animal and much more.

I work during the summer as a Kids Vaccation Camp Monitor and its the job I love the most.
Being able to give every children the best weeks of their lives, to really make a difference in who they are, to help them grow and believing they will become better adults and stronger persons is something really important to me.
This job has also been where I learned the most, to work as a team, to work tired and with stress, to give love, to make friendships, to become a more courageous person.
I really love it!
I graduated in Computer Engineering so I have a nice overall knowledge when it comes to computers, so I can definitely give some help if needed.
I have a life long dream of writing a fantasy book. While I travel, while I grow, this is the dream I intend to keep following.
My favorite sport is Bouldering/Rock Climbing and I love to dance.I especially love the sports really focusing on body and movement(dancing, calisthenics).
I love playing with little kids and can pretend I'm a velociraptor.

------WORKAWAY-------
Up until now I've done quite a lot of voluntary work.
I've worked in:
- A farm in Jardin, Colombia (learned a lot about farm animals, wood working, construction, gardening).
- A hostel in Santa Marta, Colombia (not so much skill learning, but did improve my cooking).
- A indigenous comunity in Arajuno, Ecuador(learned a big big lot, to live with what the earth gives us and what surrounds us, became a machete pro, learned a lot about the indigenous culture, farming, hunting, cooking and much more).
- A hostel in Baños, Ecuador (improved a lot on reception working and hosting, making people welcome, a little bit on restaurant working too)
- A Party Hostel in Máncora, Peru. (I worked as a barman, learned how to prepare drinks, deal with drunk people and definitely how to party harder)
- A hostel in Huaraz, Peru. (I painted the interiors of the hostle, improved my painting skills and also, everyone climbed there, so my climbing skills too).

¡Hola!
Me llamo Tiago, soy portugués y tengo 23 años. Trabajo como consejero infantil / monitor de actividades de campamentos de verano para ninõs 6 meses al año y soy viajero y nómada durante los otros 6 meses. Me gradué en ingeniería informática, después de viajar entendí que ser nómada y pasar mi vida con los niños era mi pasión, así que me quedé con ella. Estoy muy feliz por esó.
Además, como soy de Portugal, puedo hablar español, inglés y portugués.
Me encanta viajar porque te obliga a ir más allá de tu zona de confort cada día mientras conoces nuevas personas, nuevas culturas, nuevos lugares mientras creces y aprendes más que nunca.
¡Con este amor, me defino como alguien que quiere más, que quiere conocer más, aprender más, enfrentarse a sus miedos y que su objetivo futuro es ser FELIZ y ser MÁS!

----------MY TRIP----------
Mi hermano Gonçalo y yo vamos a viajar por Jordania, Israel y Egipto durante los próximos dos meses. Empezaremos en México y poco a poco iremos hacia el sur.
Nuestro plan es dejarnos llevar por la corriente, ser voluntarios, ponernos manos a la obra y abrazar la cultura. Crecer y divertirnos.

Algunos objetivos pendientes: Visitar Petra y el Mar Muerto, Jerusalén, la Necrópolis de Giza, hacer un curso de buceo, ser voluntario con niños, salvar un animal y mucho más.

--------ME----------
Trabajo durante el verano como Monitor de Campamento de Vacunación Infantil y es el trabajo que más me gusta.
Ser capaz de dar a cada niño las mejores semanas de su vida, para realmente hacer una diferencia en lo que son, para ayudarles a crecer y creer que se convertirán en mejores adultos y personas más fuertes es algo realmente importante para mí.
Este trabajo también ha sido donde más he aprendido, a trabajar en equipo, a trabajar cansada y con estrés, a dar amor, a hacer amistades, a convertirme en una persona más valiente.
Realmente me encanta.
Me gradué en Ingeniería Informática por lo que tengo un buen conocimiento general cuando se trata de computadoras, así que definitivamente puedo dar algo de ayuda si es necesario.
El sueño de mi vida es escribir un libro de fantasía. Mientras viajo, mientras crezco, este es el sueño que pretendo seguir.
Mi deporte favorito es el Boulder/Escalada y me encanta bailar, especialmente los deportes que se centran en el cuerpo y el movimiento (baile, calistenia).
Me encanta jugar con los niños pequeños y puedo fingir que soy un velociraptor.

------WORKAWAY-------
Hasta ahora he hecho bastante trabajo voluntario.
He trabajado en:
- Una granja en Jardín, Colombia (aprendí mucho sobre animales de granja, trabajo en madera, construcción, jardinería).
- Un hostal en Santa Marta, Colombia (no aprendí mucho, pero sí mejoré mi cocina).
- Una comunidad indígena en Arajuno, Ecuador (aprendí mucho, a vivir con lo que nos da la tierra y lo que nos rodea, me convertí en un profesional del machete, aprendí mucho sobre la cultura indígena, la agricultura, la caza, la cocina y mucho más).
- Un hostal en Baños, Ecuador (mejoré mucho en el trabajo de recepción y hospedaje, haciendo que la gente sea bienvenida, un poco en el trabajo de restaurante también)
- Un Party Hostel en Máncora, Perú. (Trabajé como barman, aprendí a preparar bebidas, a tratar con gente borracha y, en definitiva, a divertirme más)
- Un hostal en Huaraz, Perú. (Pinté los interiores del hostal, mejoré mis habilidades de pintura y también, todo el mundo escaló allí, así que mis habilidades de escalada también).

I work as a Monitor in a Kids Summer Vacation Camp in Alentejo, Portugal and it definitely is the job I've learned the most and enjoy the most. I've been doing it for 6 years now and we, the team of monitors, are what makes the camp the best. I learned to dress up as anything you can imagine just by using creativity, to coordinate and work as a team, to keep up the pace after weeks of sleeping 5 hours a night, to spread love to every kid and love them as mine, I love it so much I can't see myself in a fix job and not being able to go back and work there.

I graduated in Computer Science in June 2019, studying at FCUL in Lisbon. Also I've always loved computers so I have a pretty good knowledge regarding computers.
I've also had lots of experiences concerning learning social skills, a nice variety of sports and some smaller self-taught knowledge like novel writting, dancing, medidating and being constantly happy!

I've worked in a Icecream Shop for some years and do a lot of Promotion/Animation and Mascot jobs.

Trabajo como monitora en un campamento de verano para niños en el Alentejo, Portugal, y sin duda es el trabajo que más he aprendido y con el que más disfruto. Llevo 6 años haciéndolo y nosotros, el equipo de monitores, somos lo que hace que el campamento sea el mejor. Aprendí a disfrazarme de cualquier cosa que puedas imaginar solo usando la creatividad, a coordinar y trabajar en equipo, a mantener el ritmo después de semanas durmiendo 5 horas por noche, a repartir amor a cada niño y quererlos como si fueran míos, me gusta tanto que no me veo en un trabajo fijo y no poder volver a trabajar allí.

Me gradué en Informática en junio de 2019, estudiando en la FCUL de Lisboa. Además, siempre me han gustado los ordenadores, así que tengo un conocimiento bastante bueno con respecto a la informática.
¡También he tenido muchas experiencias relacionadas con el aprendizaje de habilidades sociales, una buena variedad de deportes y algunos conocimientos autodidactas más pequeños como la escritura de novelas, el baile, la meditación y ser constantemente feliz!

He trabajado en una heladería durante algunos años y he hecho muchos trabajos de promoción/animación y de mascota.
