Hi there! 👋 We’re The Orams, Dale & Jennifer, the Adventure Duo!

We are new to workaway and just starting our workaway adventure1

We met while white-water rafting on a remote island in Japan, where we quickly discovered that we were both equally terrible at paddling but experts at having a blast. Fast-forward seven years, and we’ve turned our shared love for adventure into a life full of unforgettable experiences!

We recently won a sustainability contest that took us to Patagonia to restore a famous hiking trail—because who doesn’t love a little eco-friendly sweat?

We also spent five incredible months in the Canadian Rockies, scaling mountains and convincing ourselves that bear encounters were more about making friends than fleeing for our lives!

We’re passionate about staying active and have tackled many races, including marathons and triathlons. Our love for travel knows no bounds, and we’re currently racing against the clock to explore as much of the world as possible before our working holiday visas turn into pumpkins.

We would love to meet you along our never-ending quest for the next great adventure!

Outdoor & Conservation Work:
- Trail restoration and conservation work (Patagonia)
- Weekly park and community clean-ups
- Experience with gardening, weeding, and landscaping
- Comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work
- Passion for sustainability and eco-tourism

Farm & Animal Care:
- Experience feeding and caring for calves (mixing formula, feeding 44+ calves)
- General farm work (weeding, mowing, maintenance)

We had an amazing time house sitting for Joseph! Despite having to leave unexpectedly for a business trip, Joseph was incredibly generous and accommodating. He made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of during our stay.

We stayed at Piha Beach stay for 10 days and truly wish we could have stayed longer, it's an incredible place to be. Geoff, Jeff & Tai are all awesome people and instantly made us feel right at home. Jennifer and Dale stayed with us for just over a week. They were both very enthusiastic and showed great initiative in their efforts.
