Hi ! I'm Téo, a simple Swiss guy who likes both the Wild and meeting new / different people. It appears (still have a hard time believing it) I'm currently on a trans-eurasian trip, trying to reach Indonesia by landway, with my car. An old dream. I would love to be of some help during this journey, instead of always being on the receiving end, and of course learn a ton of things along the way... Which made me decide on giving Workaway a go! I did some WWOOFfing, grew up with CS, but here I am a total newbie! I'm sure it will be the entry point to great memories and friendships though, looking forward to meeting you !

Edit : First experience in Bulgaria! 20 amazing days helping building a roof and assisting the daily farm chores (so mostly carpentry work, animal care and gardening). Loved it !

Another fantastic experience, three weeks (on and off) in Georgia, helping to build A frame houses !

And in Iran building a school in the desert !

And in India on a farmhouse/guesthouse !

I feel pretty confident in teaching French (my mother tongue) which is a beautiful but difficult language. I used to be able to speak decent Spanish during my 3 months stay in Colombia but it evaporated in the following years. If you can help me getting back in touch with it I would be super grateful (consider me as a total beginner again though).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Without being a tradesman or artisan (did uni in political sciences haha, sorry about that) I think it would be fair to call me a crafty person. I'm usually a quick learner, focused, patient and self critical in my work. I tend to know a little bit about many things, ranging from tree falling to taking people through art exhibitions. I'm also a fisherman, rower, bushcrafter, water color painter, board game lover, etc. (not pretending to be expert at any of these things). I'll probably tell you directly about the skills related more specifically to the kind of help you need...

Different jobs I had:
- Environmental protection (field work, ranger, trail maintenance, teaching and even office job)
- Art mediator (guiding, facilitation, curating work and housekeeping of an artistic center)
- Board game specialist (demonstration and events)
- Civic worker

I volunteered on a few construction projects in Europe and Asia - I prefer working with wood but also had to do a little bit of cement work, welding, painting, renovation, etc. Also got the opportunity to help with animal care, which I love.

I think I said it already but I'm a huge (modern) board games fan. Unfortunately I cannot travel with my (100 plus) collection but if you happen to have some and to share the "board game bug", I promise we'll have fun haha !

Love cinema and movies as well, especially Korean ones (thrillers, not Kdrama !) and mid-nineties productions.

About accommodation, I'm traveling with my car right now, which has a fitted bed, and I have no issue sleeping in it if it is easier for you :)
Only need a quiet parking spot and access to a shower / bucket.
