Hello :) - Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!

My name is Annabelle and I come from a small seaside town in the North of the UK. I joined workaway because I want to meet new and interesting people who can teach me about their culture, lifestyles, and skills.
I've been participating in language and cultural exchanges since the age of 17 and personally, it's what makes life worth living! I've lived in Nepal and Spain and have travelled through Morocco, Germany and recently Ontario and Nova Scotia in Canada. I would describe myself as a very creative and musically inclined person and especially love singing (you can always hear me before you can see me!)

Recently, I worked at a boarding school, where I loved the strong sense of community. However, the company culture and working hours weren’t the right fit for me. I’m currently looking for a Workaway placement that will allow me to meet new people, immerse myself in a new culture, and stay actively engaged.

I have experience selling goods online through eBay, a skill I developed while helping my mother move house during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also have a passion for cooking and baking.

In the future, I’d love to learn carpentry and sailing. After spending my undergraduate years staring at a screen, I’m eager to fully embrace life again—ready to "lick the lid of life"!
