Ciao! I'm Miriam, an italian girl looking foward to new experiences and adventures !
I live in Imola near Bologna and I have a master degree in history and anthropology. I like trekking and swimming in nature, reading books and listening to music. I'm a friendly person and I like to get in touch with new people but sometimes I appreciate staying alone as well, singing or just chilling.
Starting from March 2025 I will be traveling across Australia with my brother, we have a Working Holiday Visa and we will be spending our time working and visiting the country.
Me and Giacomo like travelling together and we both have several Workaway experiences.
During our first weeks in Australia we would like to stay at a Workaway because we will need a bit of time to get our paperwork in order, also we would like to get in touch with Australian culture and get to know people who are actually living there.

I worked for 10 years organizing events like concerts, meetings, social dinners and book launches. I was volonteer during earthquake in Emilia (2012) and flooding in Romagna (2023), I have good organization skills and I'm not afraid to get myself dirty. I have experience in DIY, I'm capable of sewing and cooking.

I have had a great first boat experience with Ean. We haven't moved the catamaran but the work on board it was easy but interesting for me, I learned news skills. I have had a new point of view about travelling on boat thanks the talks with owner and a great occasion that he offered to me: to do a trip with his friends!

Mimi has already started task before I need to ask .

She is a quick and accurate worker.

She will tick all the good boxes for her new host.

I regret her leaving my boat. She was good company!

The work was easy and not tiring. The hostel is small and quiet so if you need a place to take your time it's perfect. The owner, Suky, is available but is not always present. For this reason could be nice the common area could have some more informations on how to get around the city.

Five stars for this workaway experience in Cambodia! I really enjoyed the time spent to talk with Sokaer, I could understand how is the real life of the cambodians in the past and in the present and about their customs. Utile e divertente Miriam era una gioia di aiutare l'azienda e con i cavalli. Si è unita al divertimento, ha interagito bene con noi e con gli altri volontari. È stato ascoltato sulla vite che il gruppo ha apprezzato e ha anche apprezzato le sue capacità di cottura. Ovunque tu vada Miriam, divertiti!

Where to begin? The surrounding nature is wonderful, rich in birds and other animals, and there is an incredible plants variety.

We had the chance to host Miriam during more than a month. It really was a great experience to live and work with her. She has a lot of abilities to work in a farm and we trusted her. After a while, we even gave her the responsibility to coordinate the other volunteers. Besides that, she is an open and great person. We recommend her ! :smiley:

I really enjoyed the time spent with Christina, good interlocutor, available, she always tries to make you comfortable. The place is isolated but she tries to take you around in leisure time, I really enjoyed my time here.

I spent some time with Pietro and Makno (very big friendly dog), I felt very welcomed! Good food and good music! The work varied and sometimes is heavy but the time passed fast with Pietro's company! Very recommended!!
