Hi there and thank you for reading my profile.

I love workaway and have found it to be one of my favourite ways to spend my holidays.

I am a relaxed, happy and sociable person who enjoys meeting and learning from people from all backgrounds.

I enjoy being creative and connecting with people on a deep level. I have created mandalas on hostel walls in the past and would be happy to consider doing this for your project :)

I enjoy being outdoors and doing physical tasks and enjoy learning new things.

Cooking is something I am passionate about and am excited to learn different cuisines from hosts and other workawayers!

This was the last Workaway I experienced and one of the best. This is a family run restaurant owned by a lovely Peruvian family who welcomed me into their home as well as their business. I stayed in a guesthouse with just one other worker in a comfortable bed and the shared use of the family home for the kitchen and bathroom facilities which… read more included a hot shower! I worked an enjoyable 5 hours a day as a waiter serving beautiful food to happy holiday-goers with two other lovely members of staff and the rest of the time was mine. I spent my free time walking around the mountains, visiting nearby villages, learning Spanish, reading and doing exercising/meditating in the beautiful grounds at the back of the restaurant which overlook the mountains. The restaurant is based just outside of Urubamba which is extremely well connected to the rest of the Sacred Valley and has everything in you need including an amazing market to buy food if you need it and some nice restaurants and cafes. I bought a Cusco Tourist 10-day ticket and visited all of the sites during the times of the day that I wasn't working (but had 2 clear days off). A couple of the staff speak English and often the clients of the restaurant do as well, and so this is a great place to either practice Spanish or English! The family are very sociable and I developed very positive relationships with people whilst I was here but I also felt very free to head off and do things on my own which for me was literally perfect. 6 incredibly happy weeks at the restaurant thank you so much!!!!

Este fue el último Workaway que experimenté y uno de los mejores. Este es un restaurante familiar propiedad de una encantadora familia peruana que me recibió en su casa y en su negocio. Me alojé en una casa de huéspedes con solo otro trabajador en una cama cómoda y el uso compartido de la casa familiar para la cocina y el baño que incluía una ducha de agua caliente. Trabajé 5 horas agradables al día como camarero sirviendo comida hermosa a felices invitados de vacaciones con otros dos miembros del personal encantador y el resto del tiempo era mío. Pasé mi tiempo libre caminando por las montañas, visitando pueblos cercanos, aprendiendo español, leyendo y haciendo ejercicio / meditando en los hermosos jardines en la parte trasera del restaurante que dan a las montañas. El restaurante se encuentra a las afueras de Urubamba, que está muy bien conectado con el resto del Valle Sagrado y tiene todo lo que necesita, incluido un mercado increíble para comprar comida si lo necesita y algunos buenos restaurantes y cafeterías. Compré un boleto turístico de 10 días de Cusco y visité todos los sitios durante los días del día en que no estaba trabajando (pero tenía 2 días libres). Un par del personal habla inglés y, a menudo, los clientes del restaurante también lo hacen, ¡y este es un gran lugar para practicar español o inglés! La familia es muy sociable y desarrollé relaciones muy positivas con la gente mientras estuve aquí, pero también me sentí muy libre de irme y hacer cosas por mi cuenta, lo que para mí fue literalmente perfecto. 6 semanas increíblemente felices en el restaurante muchas gracias !!!!

Wow what a wonderful volunteering experience! Had a fantastic few weeks creating murals at the hostel, the staff were all super friendly and relaxed. What a nice fella! We really enjoyed having Dan stay with us, he was great with our daughter, fantastic in the kitchen, an ever willing hand . If he wants to be at your place , accept him!
