Sid, 24, UK

Hi all. I am coming to Asia in spring to start a travel and want to help in some volunteer projects on the way. I am interested in learning about permaculture and bioconstruction as one day I want to start my own eco project/commune. I love being outside, working the land and working with my hands. Anything that is good for the environment is good for me and my karma.

I spent 1 year in Israel volunteering on a Kibbutz in the desert, working in the garden.
Also I made an almost 2 year travel in Latin America where I did 11 workaways all focused on permaculture and bioconstruction. I worked on many construction projects (houses, ovens, stairs, firepits etc) made from bamboo, clay, limestone and different recycled/natural materials and techniques. Also I love planting trees and seeds and getting my hands and knees dirty in the mud.

Outside of workawaying I love camping and trekking. I have hiked Shvil Israel (+1100km) and The West Highland Way and many many different treks in South America. I love wild swimming and climbing mountains to see sunsets and watch the stars. I love to chill out in the hammock listening music and also playing cards and games ( and learning new ones too). I love to cook, here in the UK I am a chef.

amazing place. built fences and worked with mud my favourite. super nice people and relaxed atmosphere. beautiful land and good fresh food :) miss this place already wish i could stay longer thanks for everything guys

Sid is a very charismatic guy with a lot of stories to tell. Always up to help out when it's needed and he loves to cook, share and eat a good meal too!

i stayed 5 weeks with Sadi and Jaqui and it was amazing to live in the amazon rainforest and be so close to magical and powerful nature. the land is so beautiful and cut off from any city or town which lets you truly connect with the earth. we saw monkeys and armadillos and lots of cool plants and trees that sadi can teach you a lot about. they… read more
