Description
You know, it's funny how the place you grow up shapes you. For me, it was Varanasi. The sights, the sounds, the smells... it all just gets under your skin, you know? Growing up there, amongst the temples and the ghats, with the Ganges flowing by, it was impossible not to feel connected to something bigger.
But Varanasi wasn't all spirituality and ancient rituals. I saw real challenges too – poverty, pollution, and how vulnerable the city was to the changing climate. It made me want to do something, to make a difference.
So, I went for a business degree, but sustainability was always at the back of my mind. It led me to the world of climate tech, where I've been working with startups for the past few years. It's been a wild ride! I've learned so much and met some incredible people who are really passionate about finding solutions to the climate crisis.
But lately, I've been feeling this pull to get out and explore the world. To meet new people, hear their stories, and experience different cultures. I think it's important to get out of your comfort zone and broaden your horizons, you know? Plus, I'm hoping to find some fresh inspiration for my next climate tech project along the way.
So, here I am, ready for a new adventure! I can't wait to see what this Workaway experience has in store for me.

I have always been fascinated by languages! I took French in school, and while I wasn't exactly a whiz kid, I loved how it opened up a new world of communication and culture. These days, my French is a bit rusty, but I am definitely keen to learn a new language. It's like gaining a superpower!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I guess you could say I am a bit of an all-rounder! The professional side of me loves digging into a good spreadsheet, figuring out what makes a brand tick, and generally making sure things run smoothly. Years of working with startups have really sharpened my analytical, marketing, and management skills. I am a bit of a data geek, to be honest, and I enjoy the challenge of finding creative solutions to tricky problems.
But here's the thing: Growing up in India, in a typical middle-class family, means I have always had a hands-on approach to life. From cleaning and cooking to helping with DIY projects around the house, I have never been afraid to roll up my sleeves and get stuck in. It's just part of who I am.
So, while I can definitely bring some business skills to the table, I am equally happy to lend a hand with everyday tasks. Whether it's fixing a wonky shelf, weeding the garden, or whipping up a simple meal, I am always willing to pitch in.
