Northland, New Zealand - du Avr 2025 au Mai 2025 Voir toutDescription
Leon and I (Selina) have lived together in the south of Rhineland-Palatinate for more than 5 years now. We both loved the nature around here. Being close to the Palatinate Forest, surrounded by vineyards on one side and the Rhine (one of the largest rivers in Europe) on the other. We both finished our studies here, worked a while - but now we want to take the chance to experience something beyond these familiar hills.
We are both really interested in learning new skills, meeting different people and exploring.
I'd describe ourselves as modest and down-to-earth. We like hiking, gardening and being outside in general.
Because of this love for the outdoors, it might not be surprising that we chose to go to New Zealand for our adventure. But apart from that, it's a country that you hear the most beautiful tales about, even apart from the fictional connections to Tolkien!
About us:
Leon is a reliable fisherman and runner. He finished his traineeship as a special education teacher, before we left Germany. His special power is interaction! He's also quite good with computers. Note from Leon: I would love to go fishing around here so if that's something you like I'm in!
I already worked on farms in Canada for a year after I finished school. I was part of a choir and enjoy running as well as strength training. I studied social- and communication sciences. Besides that, I worked for a company in the geothermal energy sector. I am quite excited to see totally different geological structures!
Short fun fact to go: Did you know that Germany is about the same size as New Zealand, but we have 83 million inhabitants in comparison to 5 million in New Zealand?Centres d’intérêt

We did various tasks for her (e.g. weeding or building a berry enclosure), but nothing to hard. Especially for the great food that we got and the beautiful place that we lived in.
We'll miss sharing a good bottle of wine with her and… read more
His place is really cozy, his cats are a little shy but friendly (and talkative!). There's always good work and food around. We would stay with him again!
His place is the real off-grid experience. Might not be for everyone but we think it's something you shouldn't miss out on if… read more

There's no such thing as a quiet evening because these two always have a story to tell! You get a lot of tips what you can do in the area and directions as well.
Accommodation, food and general communication are really good. As farm life goes work and tasks might vary,… read more
