Hello!
I'm Sara, a 25-year-old adventurer coming from Slovenia.

I have a passion for exploration and thrill-seeking. I love spontaneous trips and discovering new places. My goal in life is not to have a 9-5 job, but to live life to the fullest, something beyond the daily life!

Currently, I am studying to get my bachelor's degree in translation studies (English - German - Slovene). It is a field that I find fascinating, and I hope to one day become a freelance translator, which would give me the financial freedom to become a digital nomad and see the world.

Until then, I'll make the most of my free time by embarking on journeys and immersing myself in new cultures to broaden my horizons. Volunteering is also one of my passions, because it enables me to engage with international travellers and gain a tremendous amount of fulfilment from it. In 2019, I volunteered at a hostel in Bangkok, Thailand, which was a transformative experience. I'm eager to pursue similar opportunities on a different continent, one with an entirely different culture.

I also did a one-year student exchange in Athens, Greece, which is an opportunity that helped me with my self-growth a lot and for which I am beyond grateful!

I am looking forward to finding some open-minded and positive folks like me, so we can make beautiful memories together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up in a small town in the countryside. I helped my family a lot with gardening and also some animal care. When I left my hometown to attend high school, I was studying graphic design, which includes not only computer art but also painting and drawing. I would say I acquired some good skills, such as an eye for beauty and aesthetics, to help with any kind of art projects.

Skills that I have learned outside of school are from working in factories, waitressing and cashier work, which I would say gave me some skills how to deal with costumer service.

Interacting with people from all over the world gave me confidence in my own language abilities and made me realize how much I want to go see other places.

As mentioned above, I volunteered in a hostel, where I did check-ins and maintenance.

But I joined workaway to gain some new skills. I am open for anything, mostly I am looking for hostel jobs, as I love to be around people from different nationalities. I don't mind doing any other kind of work such as helping on a farm or a resort of some kind. I want to help create a positive atmosphere wherever I go.
