Hello all, my name is Sam and I've just reactivated my account after 15 months on the road :)

I've had an incredible journey through Central Asia, The Middle East, Turkey and the Caucuses, Scandinavia, North Africa and Eastern and Western Europe. I'm now in Sth East Asia nering the end of my journey. I am hoping to offer myself as a volunteer in Vietnam before I commence a Vipassana Course in Cambodia in early February 2024.

I am also studying teaching English as a Second Language currently online.

I’m fit and active and I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, swimming, cycling. I love playing music and can find my way around a guitar or drum set :) I have a career in the welfare sector and my passion is for helping those in need find change. I feel good when I am being useful and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. I have had amazing experiences via workaway in Turkey and Sweden, restoring a 100 year old farmhouse and assisting as a bicycle mechanic in Sweden. I also did some basic boat building in Sweden during my journey.

I love adventure and have lived in remote Northern Australia before leaving the country in October 2022. I believe it’s important to put myself out of my comfort zone to learn and grow as a person. I want to make myself useful and find somewhere interesting and welcoming where I can work and have some fun while I'm at it ;) I hope to be a great addition to your community :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am fit and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I am a fast learner and can get a grasp on most things I take on.

I can help you with manual jobs. In the garden, general maintenance and DIY building projects. I am a semi competent basic cook in the kitchen. I would love to be somewhere close to nature.

I have a university degree in sociology/philosophy and have good writing and speaking skills in English. I am interested in teaching English and am currently studying this.

I am empathetic and this has been a strength in the kind of work I do in the welfare sector with young and older clients. Any work involving caring, or helping vulnerable people is work I’m interested in.

I have many years experience in customer service and enjoy working with people.

I love adventure and the outdoors and have hiking and camping experience.

Whatever you’ve got, I’m sure I can make myself useful!
