Hey there,
I’m Samara from the Southeast Region of Brazil. I’m a Psychology student but since the beginning of the pandemic I have more flexibility to travel due to studying online.
I moved to the UK when I was 14 years old, I started travelling by myself when I was 16 and since then, I can say I fell in love with travelling, not just the usual touristing, but more the opportunities to stay in small cities, getting to meet new people, cultures and languages. I’m an open-minded and very talkative person and embrace each new situation I encounter myself in with open arms.
I love being outside (biking, walking, hiking), but thanks to our rainy English weather I’m also a bookworm. I have a soft spot for cats, but love being around nature and animals in general.
I decided to try out Workaway because I love to volunteer and try new things, especially, getting to know a new place with the locals and being able to be part of something bigger through something small.

I have travelled abroad a couple of times to volunteer with charity organisations, which helped me gain skills on organising events, working with young people, doing manual work and spending a lot of time outdoors in the nature.
