Description
Hello there!
So I am originally born in Jersey, UK but am now a Permanent Resident of Canada and have lived in BC for the last 4 years. I intend on gaining my citizenship and am hoping to purchase some property out there before I turn 30!
I work a long, hard season as Head Cook of Treeplanting Camps in BC every April-August and so after this I like to take some time to explore Canada or if time and money allows then I travel internationally.
I have used workaway in various countries and have had the most amazing experiences because of it and made life long friends in the process too.
As for my interests and a bit about my work ethic and personality, I am very adaptable and learn quickly, I will ask alot of questions to make sure Im on your wavelength but am very happy to get on with tasks alone for long periods of time too.
I have been told Im quite responsible and I'd like to think that I am too!
Ive spent 8 months nannying for a family with 2 small children in Winlaw BC and loved the experience, Im also a huge animal lover so the responsibility of pets or farm animals doesnt intimidate me.
Im in a real big exploration phase in my life right now ( I guess my whole 20s so far has been? haha) and this means I am loving learning new skills and gaining knowledge on unusual topics, reading, attending workshops and just trying to be a Yes-Human in general.
Ive noticed more and more over the years that I really do recharge best when Im alone but this has never dampened my desire to be social and make new friends whilst travelling and my friends and family would agree that its usually difficult to get me to stop talking once I get going haha.
Im not a fussy eater but try to stay away from large amounts of gluten, meat and dairy... Im trying to heal a hormonal imbalance and improve my gut health, but I would not let this get in the way of the flow of wherever I am. (I also LOVE to bake and hope to study Pastry one day, so this gets in the way of me trying to avoid gluten lol)
Weaknesses:
Drinking too much coffee
Oversleeping during my time off
Over working myself when I see theres still work to do
Pastries hehe
Values:
Honesty
Health (food, fresh air)
Movement (stretching, swimming, biking)
Tidiness/organisation
