Howdy! Lifelong traveler from Wyoming. Graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011 with a background in Communications, Radio Tv and Film Production, and Religious Studies. After graduating, I became a big wig at a fancy hotel complex only to realize that lifestyle made me miserable so I quit and became a teacher for a few years and started traveling again. While traveling I rediscovered my passion for manual labor and working with my hands. Currently, I spend my summers caretaking for the largest all-private marina in Grand Teton National Park (right next to Yellowstone!) and the rest of the time I spend freelancing and learning new skills :) Most recently (Dec 23) I've become proficient in screen-printing/embroidery/clothing design and earlier this year I became a member of the Emergency Response Unit for Bombay Beach and did loads of volunteer work for the most eccentric community on the planet lol.

I've also done two Vipassana retreats and have an enormous amount of respect for the practice of meditation. I was engaged as a server at my last one in Northern Wisconsin and due to COVID I ended up taking over the kitchen manager position and afterwards they asked me to stay on as a caretaker, observing the daily practices, doing repairs, and cleaning the grounds.

I've helped out on a few home remodels, assisted my old man's rehab/workout equipment repair company, and expanded my repertoire on routine vehicle maintenance as well as complex mechanical/electronic repair.

I also love working on anything creative or conducive to joking around. I believe you can't work your hardest unless you're also having fun, but it's hard to have fun while doing a bad job :)

Regarding any of the name confusions in my reviews/profile: In Spanish class my name was "Rio" so I went by that while traveling in South America and then I recently changed my name, adopting the name and spelling from my great-great Gypsy grandfather before he changed it to blend in with the Germans. Amongst my oldest friends I've always been "Krytz" ('rights' with a 'k' in front), so let's roll with that : P

Hola! Me llamo Krytz. Me gradué de La Universidad de Wisconsin-Madison en 2011. Después de eso, me convertí en una peluca grande en un lujoso complejo hotelero, solo para darme cuenta de que el estilo de vida me hacía sentir miserable, así que renuncié y me convertí en profesor y también volví a la carpintería y otros trabajos manuales. Quelles sont vos compétences ?

English:
Over 10 years working in Hospitality, holding positions in everything ranging from marina operations, restaurant services, cooking, bartending and bar managing (7 years experience), driving/courier services, tour guide, front desk and housekeeping. Outside of hospitality I also have over 2 years of experience working as an English teacher, 3 years spent as a caretaker for a disabled army veteran, volunteering at a children's hospital, and working as a writer. I've done several carpentry/remodeling projects and have also gotten into some water treatment/plumbing and auto repair.

My side project/passion is writing and storytelling.
