I am from a rural area in South Africa, which has instilled a deep love of nature, culture, and human interaction in me. I have two degrees in psychology, and am motivated primarily by connection - to others and to nature- and by exploration - of the world, myself, different cultural perspectives. I am happiest when I am making new friends, working with children, hiking and exploring the world, pushing myself physically and mentally, and when I'm in the garden with dirt under my nails

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up on an rural smallholding that farmed using organic methods. As such, I have a good grasp of both growing and tending to edible and medicinal plants, as well as of organic permiculture techniques. I also have beekeeping experience through this. Additionally, I have grown up with a lot of animals (e.g., horses, donkeys, chickens and others), and love working with all animals.

I have studied psychology and politics at an undergraduate level, and psychology at a post-graduate level. During the course of my training, I have spent a lot of time in various schools (both highschool and junior/primary school), and thus have a lot of experience in working with children and adolescents - as a school counselor, classroom manager. and teaching assistant.

I have also worked in a teaching capacity at the University of Cape Town, and have a year and a half's experience in teaching classes of 20 people or more. I love teaching and engaging with young minds, and hopefully inspiring them to push themselves to reach their full potential.

I have worked in a part-time capacity for various festivals - creating decor (scenic painting, building infrastructure, painting murals etc) and being involved with catering (cooking for 40 people at a time). I love creative pursuits, and would be eager to contribute my skills in this capacity.

I love playing board games, cards, and other interactive games. I enjoy hiking and exploring nature a lot. My main goals in traveling are spiritual pursuits, new experiences, cultural immersion, and meaningful human interactions.
